Tanya Beecher is a clinical social worker with extensive experience working with adults of all ages, teens and families. She has worked in multiple settings including therapeutic schools, addiction treatment centers, college counseling offices, and in private practice.
Tanya brings clarity, compassion, and a belief that people who are suffering emotionally want a way out, they just often do not know how. She is gifted at reaching through in some of the toughest times, providing hope and stability. She works with teenagers, adults of all ages and often works in a coaching capacity with families that have a loved one with addiction or emotional difficulties to provide support, guidance and education.
Tanya studied Exercise Science as an undergraduate and has a grounding belief in the benefits of fitness and mindfulness based practices, providing psychological balance, supporting brain function and improving overall health. She holds a Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work from Smith College School for Social Work and completed a post-graduate fellowship at Harvard University in adolescent development and college mental health. She is trained in EMDR through Big Oak Psychotherapy and her practice includes clients specifically seeking EMDR therapy. She is licensed as an independent practitioner in both Massachusetts and Connecticut, and in addition to psychotherapy is available for clinical consultations and independent clinical supervision. In addition to her clinical training, Tanya is a certified Souluna Life Coach.
